Infants ~ 6 weeks to 24 months
around age 18 months they will start sleeping on mats
* I have a bedroom set up with cribs and a changing table.
* You supply a blanket and crib sheet for nap time.
* In the playroom in the basement I have a swing, and 2 walkers for them to play with. If no infants need it at that time, I will place it on the other side of the basement out of the way.
* Small bin with infant toys in it.
* The infants are in the basement during learning time so they can listen and look while we do these things. As long as they are not taking a morning nap.
* Infant toys do get sanitized!
* You supply change of clothes, all infant formula/breast milk, diapers, wipes, bottles/sippy cup, bib, burping cloth, baby food, etc. until infant can eat table
Nap Time Waiting on Lunch
Toddlers & Preschoolers ~ 2-4 years of age
* We have a playroom in the basement set up for them. This is where we do our learning time and play time. The room is very colorful! PICTURES is on HOME page..
* Spacious play area, table for doing crafts/projects, chairs are put out of the room until we need to use them. Toys are on the shelves or in bins for them to play with.
* All toys do get sanitized!
* I have Reading time or Nursery Rhymes time with the kids.
* Currently using Carol's Affordable Curriculum! It is for 2-4 years of age
* I help with potty training! (sanitized after each use)
*At age 4 I require only underwear no PULL UPS!!! Will work with the parents if the child still needs to be in pull ups at age 4! Your child must wear either pull ups or underwear to daycare at all times!
* Child has a choice of sleeping on a mat that I provide or you can provide a sleeping bag for them to sleep on. You still need to bring a blanket if they use my mat. Pillow is optional for you to bring!
* We use my kitchen and bathroom (that is on the main floor area) for the daycare kids.
* I provide breakfast and lunch daily, snack is optional!
* You supply change of clothes, sippy cup/spill prof cup, diapers or/and pull ups/underwear, wipes, bib, pillow(optional), and blanket/sleeping bag for nap time.
* I encourage children to participate as part of group for learning time and discussion time for things that we are learning.
* Children learn to accept consequences for his/her behavior through a time out ~ 1 minute per age and will be away from the other children during this time.
Before and After School Care
Kids ~ 5-10 years of age
* I do offer this ~ but your child must have permission to go to the school I’m zoned for which is VINCENT FARM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
* Your child must be here by 8:20 am the latest to get on the school bus in time.
* Bus stops in front of my home (bus stop is actually at the mail box but I make them stay on porch or 1/2 way down the sidewalk until we see the bus coming)
* Picks the kids up between 8:30-8:40 am and drop off between 4:00-4:15 pm
* The school does offer 1/2 Day Pre-K 4 ~ It will be left up to the parents to make arrangements to try to get their kids in this. You will need to take off of work for the screening that they do for Pre-K kids.
*If for some reason schools close early and they don't provide a bus for the Pre-K kids to get to my house, then it will be left up to you to make arrangements to pick your child up from school that day ~ not mine! Sorry..
YOU WILL NEED TO CALL THE SCHOOL IN MARCH/APRIL YOURSELF FOR THE SCREENING!
